A Rogers town, and the network oxio rides here
Rogers runs its head office out of Toronto, and its cable network there is a mix of fibre to the neighbourhood and coax into the home, with fibre-to-the-home in select areas [2, 3]. oxio rents Rogers East across Ontario, with only the Thunder Bay and Rockland areas flagged as possible exceptions [1], so a Toronto address is Rogers East territory and oxio arrives over the same cable plant a Rogers customer has.
Toronto also has a fibre option you won't find on most Ontario lists: Beanfield, headquartered on Mowat Avenue in the city, sells 1, 3 and 8 Gbps fibre delivered to the suite, with no long-term contract and the equipment included [4]. It's mostly a condo story, so type your exact address into its checker before you count on it [4].
What changed for Toronto switchers this year
In March 2026 the CRTC announced it was removing the extra fees tied to activating, changing or cancelling internet and cellphone plans, which applies to Rogers and everyone else you might be leaving [5]. If a fee was the thing keeping you put, check your current provider's latest terms before assuming it still exists.
Rogers also announced a second home internet increase this year: $7 a month plus tax from the first bill on or after August 18, 2026, after an earlier $10 bump for some customers [6]. Look for the line on your own bill. oxio's terms don't depend on any of it: no term contract, $0 activation, installation and shipping, with the modem included [7, 8].
